Our Clients
When an ex-offender returns to home
in the Dallas area or to one of the transition houses that have been
adopted by One Man's Treasure, he will need more than the shirt and
pants given to him in Huntsville. If he hopes to find employment, he
will need the clothing provided by One Man's Treasure. Our clothing
is the link this motivated man needs to find work and acquire a
positive self-image.
Primary Client
The primary client of One Man's Treasure:
- has been incarcerated in a state prison (not
including state or local jails)
- is indigent
- is actively pursuing change by taking growth-related classes.
- seeks mentoring
- joins support groups
- is being released on parole to the Rockwall/Dallas
area
- has served all his sentence of imprisonment and is
coming to live in the area
- is not paroling to a location where clothing is
provided
The secondary client of One Man's Treasure is a man who has been on the street, captive to drugs or alcohol, and who has entered one of our adopted transition homes (see
"Our Process"). These are homes that we have found to be successful and in need of our services. When this man has taken the steps to change and is job hunting, we give him a set of clothing to increase his chances for success.
One Man's Treasure Clothes Closet serves clients from cities located in Dallas, Rockwall, Collin,
Henderson and Kaufman counties, depending on the availability of shepherds who will deliver the clothing. Each application is screened to determine if the client is eligible for services and clothes provided by One Man's Treasure.
