Our First "What's Cookin' in Rockwall" Fundraising Event!

On September 11th, One Man's Treasure presented its first "What's Cookin' in Rockwall," hosted by the Inwood National Bank in Rockwall to raise awareness of its mission to serve men returning from prison to Rockwall, Dallas and surrounding counties. The 100 guests in attendance saw a video that outlined One Man’s Treasure’s program, heard testimonies of past clients that described the impact of the program on their lives and learned how they could be part of the mission through North Texas Giving Day and volunteer service.

We want to say a special thank you to Inwood National Bank for generously providing their Rockwall bank lobby as the evening’s venue.

We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors (Paradise Bakery & Café, Chiloso Mexican Bistro, Soulman's Bar-B-Que, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Luigi's Italian Restaurant, Edo Japanese Restaurant, La Madeleine French Bakery Cafe and Bistro, and Zanata) for providing delicious hors d'oeuvres and Inwood National Bank for donating the wine and tea.

Additionally, we would also like to thank the following Rockwall businesses for donating incredible items to our event's door prizes and silent auction. The winners loved it!

Lakeside Florist, Persnickety Boutique & Gifts, Bella's House, Hansel & Her, Homegirl Rockwall, Capital Title of Texas, Beer Geeks, Lakeside Allure Rockwall, Cate's Touch, Bonafide Betties Pie Company, Enjoy! Gourmet Gifts & Specialties, and Sterling Tea Spot.

During the evening, we were able to raise over $3,000 for use in our program and to introduce our participation in North Texas Giving Day! Thanks to your support, One Man's Treasure was able to raise over $22,000 in gifts + $10,000 matching funds which placed us among the top 12% of non-profits on the leaderboard. (311th place out of the 2,690 participating non-profits).

As we say, "One by one, we can make a difference" and we have! More than 10,000 men have received a set of clothing from One Man's Treasure since its founding!
