Thanks go out to St Michael and All Angel Episcopal Church for hosting a summer long clothing drive as part of its Farmers Market on Saturdays. The donations received have gone a long way to meeting the increased clothing demands of our historic growth in men served this year.
Donations will continue to be received at Trinity Episcopal Church 12727 Hillcrest during its regular business hours or by contacting us at info@onemanstr.org or call 972-771-4141 to arrange a pickup.
Toyota of Rockwall is hosting a shoe drive to assist the efforts of One Man’s Treasure.
Starting August 15, come by Toyota of Rockwall to donate your new or gently used men’s shoes at the collection box in the service center. The shoes will be used as part of the clothing packages provided to formerly incarcerated men, that are trying to get a fresh start on life in the Metroplex.

One Man’s Treasure provides a week’s worth of clothing (and shoes!) to the formerly incarcerated upon their release from prison. Through their efforts, the men are given hope and dignity in the form of clothes for work and church. This includes athletic shoes, work boots and dress shoes appropriate for job interviews and Sunday services. In 2016 alone, One Man’s Treasure has already outfitted more than 800 men, and anticipates helping at least another 500 by year’s end. And that takes lots and lots of shoes!

As Executive Director Annette Jenkins explains, “Through this shoe drive, Toyota of Rockwall is once again exemplifying its commitment to the non-profits that serve the community. We sincerely appreciate Toyota of Rockwall’s support of One Man’s Treasure over the years and look forward to the support of the community to help us meet this need.”

The Toyota of Rockwall / One Man’s Treasure Shoe Drive will run from August 15 - September 30, 2015. New and gently used men’s shoes of all kind (work, athletic, dress) can be dropped off in the collection car at the service department during regular business hours. (1250 I-30 Frontage Rd. Rockwall, Texas 75032).
One Man’s Treasure Wins Volunteer Service Award
In April, Annette Jenkins and Sharon Underriner of One Man's Treasure went to Austin to accept the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Reentry and Integration Division Award during the Governor's 2016 Volunteer Service Award's Program. One Man’s Treasure was recognized as a leader among a group of 21 organizations and individuals who volunteer for causes that impact the criminal justice system.

"The unwavering dedication of these volunteers to help others succeed is truly inspiring," said TDCJ Executive Director Brad Livingston. "The impact of their efforts will be felt across the state of Texas for many years to come." We couldn’t agree more. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, talents and donations to make this possible.

This award is recognition for not only the accomplishments of 2015, but for a decade of service to the formerly incarcerated. Over 6500 men were served by One Man’s Treasure in this first 10 years of service.
The ministry of One Man’s Treasure was strengthened by the invaluable support of these organizations and Covenant Churches that provided financial gifts and grants for our program to date in 2016…
